Organisation England Netball Salary £210 per day Location Loughborough Contract type Fixed Term (Part time) Closing date 14 May 2024 Interview date 22 May 2024 Job Description The Roses Technical Coach will play a pivotal role in identifying, developing and preparing the Roses players for those challenges by delivering expert coaching and support on training camps and in competitive series at home and overseas .

This role will require attendance at training camps and competitions, primarily during the International window, from July to February, with occasional overseas travel. The number of days is to be agreed according to the candidate but will be a minimum of 40 days and a maximum of 120 days.

Key Responsibilities:

Primary

• To support the Head Coach in the delivery and preparation of a training and competitive programme that best prepares the Roses team to achieve sustained and repeated success on the International stage
• To work with the Head Coach to create high performance training environments enabling each athlete to develop their technical, tactical, physical and psychological competencies, as well as embedding the Roses values
• To provide specialist technical and tactical support to Roses players
• Work alongside the Head Coach to ensure the Roses Way playing style is evolved, understood, implemented and coached in training and competition environments
• To attend identified Roses training camps and competitive fixtures in England and overseas, including major tournaments and events as agreed
• Work with the wider coaching and multi-disciplinary team to support and contribute to the development of the Individual Performance Plans
• To provide analysis support to help inform tactical and technical preparation and be prepared to present evidence to the group
• Contribute positively to the environment and team culture

Other
• To help raise the standard of coaching by providing occasional support to the performance coach development programme and Roses Pathway as required
• To develop best practice, knowledge and expertise in netball coaching in order to ensure the Roses environment is world leadingIn consultation with the Roses Head Coach and Coach Developer, agree a personal development plan and engage with informal and formal learning opportunities

General

• Attend meetings with external stakeholders ensuring you act as a positive role model, ambassador and advocate for the sport and the NGB, at all times nurturing and developing positive relationships that will promote and support the strategic development of England Netball.
• Respect and promote the spirit and intentions of England Netball’s Safeguarding and Protecting Young People in Netball policy.
• Actively role model England Netball Equality, Diversity & Inclusion policy ensuring it is at the forefront of how we work.
• Undertake any other duties as may be required from time to time that are consistent with the responsibilities of the post and the needs of England Netball.
