**About The Role**:
We are looking to appoint a Volunteer Water Polo Junior Head Coach for the GB and England Male and Female Squads.

Reporting to the Water Polo Programme Lead your specific responsibilities will be:

- Identify, monitor and communicate programme-related progress with the Water Polo Programme Lead, coaches, Swim England, British Swimming, home nation colleagues and wider stakeholders and investors.
- to contribute to the long term performance plan of the Water Polo Programme
- to build and maintain effective relationships with all the relevant stakeholders of the programme
- to always ensure the welfare and safeguarding of all participants is paramount
- to foster and inclusive and positive culture and environment for all
- to always, act internally and externally as a positive role model for Swim England, British Swimming and the sport of Water Polo and demonstrate exemplary and professional behaviours befitting of an international coach.

This is an unpaid voluntary role, yet reasonable expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with Swim England's expenses policy.

**About You**:
We are looking to engage a voluntary head coach who has the following skills and experience:

- a strong understanding of talent identification and talent development, from a technical perspective.
- UKCC Coach course or the older level 2 certification in coaching Water Polo
- experience and proven success coaching and nurturing junior water polo players
- relationship building in a multi stakeholder environment
- experience in successfully designing, delivering and evaluating athlete and coach performance programmes.
- leading and guiding a coaching team

The successful applicant must also be willing to undertake an DBS check

Previous experience / knowledge of leading a Talent Squad would also be advantageous.
