We have an excellent part-time / 3 days per week opportunity at Cygnet Lodge Woking . This is our 31 bed service providing acute and high support inpatient rehabilitation (Level 2) services for men with complex mental health needs.
This role will provide psychiatric care to patients on George Willard Ward , our 12 bed male mental health acute service. The service provides a safe and stabilising environment for men who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require an emergency admission.
The ethos of our service is about assessing and treating service users in the least restrictive environment and planning for discharge in a robust and timely fashion. With a focus on stabilisation, we will support service users to manage their mental health, reinforce daily living skills and prepare for independent life back in the community.
And you’ll have the opportunity to progress to Medical Director level through our management schemes, including Leadership and Management programmes accredited by The Chartered Management Institute.
Lead the implementation of risk assessment, risk management & embed clinical governance
Supervise reports for Mental Health Act tribunals & managers’ hearings & attend hearings
Participate in the telephone 1:7 Second on-call rota
Up to £100,000 per year (at 3 days per week)

Experienced & knowledgeable in adult psychiatry & mental health diagnosis
Knowledgeable of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, along with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of Capacity
A first-rate communicator who can interview, assess & treat patients & write clear, comprehensive medical notes
Committed to continued professional development
Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
