A client within the Public Sector based in the Lincolnshire is currently recruiting for an Environmental Health Practitioner to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, contract position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within the public sector within an enforcement environment.

The Role

Key purpose of the role is to manage a team of Environmental Enforcement Officers delivering across a range of community and environmental issues including environmental protection, environmental crime and other matters affecting the street scene and amenities of our community.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

support staff in the delivery of a range of issues including statutory nuisance, fly tipping, waste duty of care, stray dogs and abandoned vehicle investigations.
review and shape service improvements to both policy and operating processes.
work as part of a team to deliver operational and enforcement activities as detailed in relevant service plans and Councils outcome framework
offer advice and respond to appropriate service requests and use necessary enforcement powers as appropriate and co-ordinate specific projects.
support staff to deliver a graduated approach to enforcement utilising the full range of regulatory sanctions.

The Candidate

To be considered for this role you will be required to have a degree or its equivalent in Environmental Health and a sound working knowledge of the relevant regulatory frameworks.

It will be essential to have an extensive level of knowledge of the below:

Experience of conducting environmental permit inspections and processing of permit applications.
You will be expected to manage officers with a range of technical and regulatory experience ensuring a customer focussed approach.

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £225 per day Umbrella Ltd.
