A client within the Public Sector based in the Lincolnshire is currently recruiting for an Environmental Team Manager to join their enforcement team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within the public sector.

The Role

Key purpose of the role is to lead a busy Environmental Enforcement Team as well as mentor and support staff in the delivery of a range of issues including statutory nuisance fly tipping, waste duty of care, stray dogs and abandoned vehicle investigations.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

manage officers with a range of technical and regulatory experience ensuring a customer focussed approach.
manage a team of Environmental Enforcement Officers delivering across a range of community and environmental issues including environmental protection, environmental crime and other matters affecting the street scene and amenities of our community.
offer advice and respond to appropriate service requests and use necessary enforcement powers as appropriate and co-ordinate specific projects.
work as part of a team to deliver operational and enforcement activities as detailed in relevant service plans and Councils outcome framework.

The Candidate

To be considered for this role you will required have a degree or equivalent work experience in Environmental Health and a sound working knowledge of the relevant regulatory frameworks as well as a full driving licence is essential.

It will be essential to have an extensive level of knowledge of the below:

Experience of conducting environmental permit inspections and processing of permit applications is also desirable.
review and shape service improvements to both policy and operating processes.The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering between £300 - £325 per day Umbrella Ltd.
