Job Summary : In the role of a Senior Security Consultant at TechForce Cyber, you will be integral in guiding our clients through the complexities of cybersecurity. Your extensive experience will be key in leading pre-sales consultations, conducting thorough security assessments, and providing expert advice. You will design and implement customized security strategies, and importantly, manage and mentor one other cybersecurity consultant, enhancing the team's overall capabilities. Your role also involves supporting our sales teams by elucidating the technical aspects and benefits of our services to potential clients. The candidate can be based in Edinburgh or Aberdeen with Hybrid working.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead comprehensive cybersecurity assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Support pre-sales consultations, supporting sales teams in understanding client needs and articulating our value propositions.
  • Develop and present bespoke security solutions tailored to client requirements.
  • Advise on implementing cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials) and regulatory standards (GDPR).
  • Design incident response strategies and conduct training for clients and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Keep updated on the latest cybersecurity trends and threats to continuously enhance our services.
  • Directly manage and mentor one other cybersecurity consultant, fostering skill development and team synergy.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in cybersecurity consulting.
  • Expertise in cybersecurity frameworks and compliance regulations.
  • Proficient in risk assessment tools, SIEM, and vulnerability management solutions.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
  • ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or Auditor is desired but not essential.
  • Strong leadership abilities and experience in team management, including direct management of at least one cybersecurity consultant.
  • A strategic thinker with a consultative approach to problem-solving.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
