Lead Software Engineer - Python

This is a permanent position, paying £85k + bens on a hybrid working pattern (2 days p/wk onsite in Brighton).

The role offers a fantastic opportunity to join a stable and successful business as they continue to build new features, modernise and re-engineer where required and build scalability and best practice into their Engineering playbook.

Acting as Lead Engineer within a key Scrum team you will help with Engineering direction, strategic planning and leading by example on feature coding, best practices and architecture.

Experience in the following is required:

- Played a "Lead" role, leading technical direction, architecture and dev lead

- Expertise in Python (Django) development

- Strong understanding of cloud architecture and DevOps environments

- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes etc

- Been involved in monolith to micro services re-architecture

You will be working with a fantastic team and reporting into a really supportive and communicative Engineering Manager, with whom you will work very closely with.
