About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineering Lead to join our team at Automation Squared Ltd. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in leading, architecting, and creating innovative software solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of high-performance and scalable software applications using proven approaches, frameworks, and technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and project managers, to understand project objectives, requirements, and options.
  • Develop and maintain technical project solutions that exceed client expectations and are delivered on time and budget.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing, and growth within the team.
  • Contribute to the development of technical specifications, user experiences, and product roadmaps.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement within the team.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in commercial software development, with a strong focus on React, React Native, and/or Flutter applications.
  • 5+ years of experience in writing TypeScript.
  • Full-stack development experience, with a strong understanding of cloud computing, and experience with Google Cloud/Firebase and/or AWS.
  • Prompt engineering experience, integrating with OpenAI, Google Gemini, or other popular Large Language Models.
  • Leadership and mentoring experience, with a proven track record of developing and leading high-performing engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working in Figma, and collaborating closely with product designers.
  • A strong advocate for good practice processes, including software feature rollouts, migration, and AB testing.
  • Solid experience of Test-Driven Development, Unit, and UI Testing engineering principles.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience in Enterprise app development, SaaS app development, and/or fast-paced agency environments.
  • Experience in Mobile app development, such as React Native and/or Swift/Objective-C/Kotlin/Java.
  • iOS and Android build & distribution process experience.
  • Expo & EAS (Expo Application Services) experience, ideally both managed and bare workflows.
  • Experience or familiarity with design systems and modular design processes.
