You will work independently, carrying out patient care in collaboration with the registered nursing staff ensuring the smooth running of the TDA unit. You will be expected to support, supervise and develop further the role of the Health Care Assistant within the clinical area.


The post holder will be required to work flexible shift work.


Please note that applicants must hold full NMC registration
An opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 TDA Registered Nurse to join our team in Theatre Direct Admissions at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre. The post holder must have an NMC registration.


It is essential that the person is enthusiastic, motivated, and passionate about providing high-quality, safe, patient-centred care. Good communication skills are essential as the ability to work with people as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the country. It provides a wide range of general and specialist clinical services and is a base for medical education, training and research. The Trust comprises of four hospitals - the John Radcliffe Hospital , Churchill Hospital and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington and the Horton General Hospital in Banbury.
Be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care from admission to discharge.- Accurately document and report to other members of the nursing team, multi-disciplinary team and family/carers regarding the care given to patients, and communicating changes as they occur.- Respond to emergency situations with composure, maintaining patient safety and seeking immediate support, and supporting the patient, family/carers and other staff as required- Identify and discuss patient needs with the team/staff, patients, carers and the multidisciplinary team. Demonstrate a problem solving approach to effectively execute planning, implementation and evaluation of individualised plans of care based on a person centred model of care.- NMC registered / Due to complete course
