(OT) in our Crisis Resolution Home Treatment (CRHT) team.The role involves providing evidence-based care to a specific group of patients within the service catchment area. Responsibilities include assessments, individualised care plans, group facilitation, and implementing treatment interventions. The OT will be a key professional in the multi-disciplinary team, offering support to other agencies and team members. The role requires a motivated individual with empathy, enthusiasm, and excellent communication skills. It is community-based, and the OT must be independently mobile to conduct home and community assessments.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will be responsible for working in the Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team (CRHT) as a valued member of the multi-disciplinary team (MDT), undertaking specialist occupational therapy assessments of service users within the service catchment area, and developing appropriate treatment plans and interventions alongside the team whilst under the guidance of senior staff. The postholder will also provide professional advice and support to other agencies and members of the multi-disciplinary team.

The core working hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 4.00pm. We are open to considering flexible working hours for the right candidate. To be eligible for this role, you must possess a full, clean driving license and be able to travel across our sites as required.

Qualifications

Essential


  • Currently Occupational Therapist
  • Mentorship Module (degree level)
  • Evidence of specialised continued professional training in clinical practice

Desirable


  • Training in Cognitive disability model
  • Training in AMPS
  • Management training
  • APPLE accreditation

Experience

Essential


  • Relevant experience of working with adults with complex needs or adults with mental health needs and skills that is transferable.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.

Desirable


  • Experience of working with people with cognitive impairment. Substance misuse issues.

  • Ability to travel across the county in a timely and flexible manner
