The Role

As a Bid Manager (Tender and procurement specialist), you will play a crucial role in securing new business opportunities by managing the drafting and delivery of high-quality tender responses and pre-qualification documentation. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring that our bids meet client requirements and reflect our commitment to excellence in the electric vehicle and charging infrastructure industry.

Day to day your role will be;

  • Pre-Qualification and Supplier Approval : Complete Pre-Qualification and Supplier Approval Questionnaires.
  • Tender Submissions : Ensure timely and high-quality completion of tender submissions for new business opportunities.
  • Bid Process Management : Oversee the entire bid process, including research, drafting, proofreading, formatting, and coordinating.
  • Opportunity Monitoring: Monitor supplier portals to identify and pursue potential tender opportunities.
  • Client Engagement : Attend tender interviews and meetings representing the business professionally and effectively.
  • Business Development Support : Provide support to the Business Development team by contributing to strategy and identifying new opportunities.
  • Database Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of tender responses and data, ensuring easy access for future bids.
  • Feedback Utilization: Gather and analyse feedback on tenders and questionnaires to continuously improve the quality of our submissions.

You may not have 100% of these, and we will consider transferable skillsets, however, to give you a guide, these are some of the areas we will focus on;

  • Bid writing experience - you will have written bids and tenders for the public sector.
  • Communication - Both of your written and verbal communication skills will be excellent.
  • Leadership - the qualities of a leader with a readiness to take responsibility and manage situations effectively.
  • Accuracy - You will interpret information with accuracy and have great analytical skills
  • Growth mindset - you will be motivated by professional growth, and will be eager to learn at all stages of your career with us.
  • Industry - not essential, but if you are from a fleet or charging infrastructure industry, that would be a bonus.
