The recruiter will be responsible for recruiting skilled labour, particularly in industries requiring welding and pipefitting expertise. You will also establish and attract a pipeline of talent that can be utilised for future permanent and project roles.

Role specific responsibilities

  • Utilise various recruiting techniques and tools to source candidates, including job boards, social media, networking events, and industry contacts.
  • Screen CV's and conduct initial phone interviews to assess candidate qualifications and fit for specific roles.
  • Coordinate interviews with potential candidates to evaluate skills and experience,
  • Maintain and update candidate information in the applicant tracking system (ATS) to ensure accurate records of all recruiting activities.
  • Collaborate with operations managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with candidates to create a pipeline of qualified talent for current and future staffing needs.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and developments to enhance recruiting strategies and stay competitive in attracting top talent.
  • Provide regular updates to management on recruitment status, including metrics such as time-to-fill, candidate quality, and sourcing channel effectiveness.

Work Experience Required:

  • Proven experience as a Recruiter or similar role, with a focus on hiring for welding, fabrication, pipefitting positions and other trades roles.
  • Knowledge of recruiting techniques and best practices, particularly within industrial and skilled trades sectors.
  • Familiarity with ATS and other recruiting software/tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where adaptability is key.
