Maintenance Fitter

We are delighted to be recruiting a **Maintenance Fitter** to join our team

As a **Maintenance Fitter**, you will be a part of the maintenance team, providing support to ensure the smooth running of core business plant, and maximizing machinery and equipment utilization. You will proactively work to eliminate plant downtime and make improvements to the processes.

**Rate of pay - £16.22 - Nightshift 30% shift allowance**

**Hours of Work**
Week 1: Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat & Sun - 7am to 7pm
Week 2: Wed & Thurs - 7am to 7pm
Week 3: Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat & Sun - 7pm to 7am
Week 4: Wed & Thurs - 7pm to 7am

**Key Skills and Requirements**:

- Strong analytical capacity to identify and address technical issues/opportunities that can impact production and quality.
- Foster a continuous improvement approach and benchmark internally and externally to track progress.
- Superior communication skills at all levels.
- Experience in troubleshooting installations, fault finding, and repairs.
- Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems.

**Responsibilities**:

- Completing the mechanical maintenance within all areas of the plant.
- Carrying out visual inspections of mechanical equipment and assessing and repairing them.
- Diagnosing faults and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Appropriately using and handling mechanical repair and equipment.
- Liaising with production personnel, ensuring all machinery and equipment is in proper working order.
- Carrying out all maintenance duties in a safe and practical manner.
- Working with Maintenance System to carry out weekly, monthly, 6-monthly checks on all plant and equipment.
- Keeping designated areas for daily maintenance clean, tidy, and orderly.
- Ensuring a quick response to breakdowns and emergency callout situations.
