Junior AutoCAD Engineer Permanent Monday to Friday - 8.30am to 5pm (4pm finish on Fridays) Daventry - office based £26,000pa - £28,000pa depending on skills & experience Our client, a friendly and successful company based in Daventry, are looking for an enthusiastic Junior AutoCAD Technician to join their busy team. For this role, you will need a driving licence and ideally own transport and be happy to occasionally be involved in site work - please see more information below. It will also be imperative that you are a team player; as this is a small company, you will help in all areas. This role will provide full training in all areas, but you will need AutoCAD knowledge at a minimum. The key responsibilities for a Junior AutoCAD Engineer:

  • Generating 2D design drawings and sketches using AutoCAD software
  • Providing post-sales support to customers
  • Assisting on site during peak periods - this could include small spaces and going into manholes
  • Supporting the Procurement Manager in purchases and order processing, and helping the contracts and office managers as needed
The minimum requirements for a Junior AutoCAD Engineer:
  • Proficient in AutoCAD 2D software
  • Ideally have an engineering-related degree
  • Team-oriented with strong people skills - you will 'chip in' in all areas, so you must be willing to support
  • Happy in small, and possibly dirty spaces (this role could occasionally include helping on site, which will mean entering manholes)
  • Valid UK drivers licence and own transport
  • Great attitude and enthusiasm towards learning
The ideal candidate for the Junior AutoCAD Engineer:
  • Happy to travel within the UK when necessary
  • Great IT skills with proficiency in MS Office
  • Reliable
  • CSCS card would be advantageous but the company can supply this if necessary
