About the Agency As a local agency of NFU Mutual we deliver a first-class service, and sell their product range across our region, to customers old and new, who are at the core of everything we do. We champion the personal approach to customer service that NFU Mutual are famous for.
Our Durham District Agency spans County Durham with offices in: Willington, Darlington and Barnard Castle.
You will be based at either our Willington or Darlington office, this is a fantastic opportunity for a positive, proactive, customer focused candidate looking for an opportunity within the Insurance and Financial Services Sector.
You will support our existing customers and also develop new relationships across both commercial and farming businesses. We have seen strong growth in commercial business in recent years and will continue to build on this. In order to maintain the high level of service to our customers we are looking to appoint a Rural Account Executive.
You will be a confident professional (ideally with experience in dealing with customers), you’ll consistently identify and convert potential new opportunities and will relish the challenge to drive the growth of a truly customer-focused local business.
Ideally, you’ll have already worked in a similar role and so will be no stranger to applying an excellent telephone manner and a flexible, people-orientated approach to everything you do. You will demonstrate competent use of Microsoft software and display excellent literacy skills. In return, you can expect full training in a friendly and supportive environment.
Actively prospect and sell to targeted farming and rural commercial clients, build long lasting, trusting relationships with key decision makers.
• Cross sell the full range of NFU Mutual products, including financial services, risk management services and our range of motor and personal insurances.
• Manage your own customer accounts as well as sales pipeline using our Customer Relationship Management tool.
• Work with the team to offer fantastic client engagement and account management.
A person who can demonstrate the drive, energy and enthusiasm required to provide a fantastic customer experience to new and prospective clients.
• Good interpersonal skills, communication skills, & relationship building abilities.
• Understanding of the insurance/financial services sector or previous business to business insurance experience would be beneficial.
• Understanding and knowledge of the agricultural/ rural sector would be desirable.
• Minimum of 5 Grade C or above (equivalent) including Maths and English Language.
• Full driving licence and access to your own car for client visits.
Full training in a friendly and supportive environment.
