Job Description A prominent manufacturing site in Manchester is looking for an experienced Engineering Technician to support the maintenance team on a 6am to 2pm one week and 2pm until 10pm rotating shift pattern. Key Responsibilities: The role involves ensuring compliance with operating systems, maintaining Health & Safety standards, and providing technical engineering support. Responsibilities include overseeing site infrastructure, performing maintenance checks, and documenting findings. The technician will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, operate engineering machinery, and work closely with other departments to meet key performance targets. Additionally, the role requires participation in shift handovers, executing start-up/shutdown procedures, managing preventative maintenance plans, and reporting any issues to the Engineering Supervisor. Promoting a positive working environment, adhering to Health & Safety policies, and wearing appropriate PPE are also key aspects of the role. Skills & Qualifications:

  • GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Math (a technical college degree is a plus).
  • 4-5 years of experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure.
