The Professional Midwifery Advocate (PMA) will support the Lead for Professional Practice and A-EQUIP in developing a framework to support full implementation of the A-EQUIP (Advocating for Education and Quality Improvement) model. This model provides a continuous improvement process that builds upon personal and professional resilience, enhances quality of care, and supports preparedness for registered midwives/nurses in appraisal and professional revalidation.Thus, the post holder will assist the Trust by implementing the elements of the A-EQUIP model utilising the guidance issued by NHS England in April 2017.
To work in collaboration with the Lead for Professional Practice and A-EQUIP, Lead PMA and fellow sessional PMAs/PNAs, to support the workforce by utilising the components of the A-EQUIP model utilising their highly developed communication skills to employ the principles of Restorative Clinical Supervision to increase staff resilience, and to improve care for patients and their families.
