Job Title: Senior Partner - High Impact Performance Improvement - Global Consulting Firm
Employment Type: Full - Time
Clients are typically FTSE 200 organisations across a number of industries, typically those that are asset-intensive in nature though not exclusively. Examples of sectors - Utilities, Railways, Mining and Metals, Steel, Contractors, Construction Companies, and mid-tier Industrials.
The immediate requirement is to hire 2 x Directors for UK European practice.
1. Director #1 will be a mid to senior-level partner who has generalist skills functionally and ideally experienced in serving asset-intensive clients. The ideal is to be based in the UK with the ability to run a strong book of client business in the UK as their priority, including associated businesses in Europe.
2. Director #2 is an experienced partner within the capital, major projects, and broader infrastructure market. This Director will have a deep understanding of Capital Expenditure (CAPEX), and how clients spend their capital portfolio and run large projects more efficiently.
Director role
- Directors are responsible for both selling new work with existing clients and originating new pieces of work with new clients. They need to be seen as experts and trusted advisers in their field in order to build the credibility required to develop client relationships. They are responsible for people mentorship and leadership in the firm and for ensuring the quality of client delivery.
- Commercially Directors are targeted to drive revenues of £4m per annum, which in this case needs to be largely achieved mainly through their network and also somethrough collaboration with the wider global Director and Partner community.
- Beyond this, an element of entrepreneurialism and drive to help create a team will be required as they are still building in scale and culture in the region

Their specialties include operations & business improvement, strategy, capital optimization, investment & acquisition, and strategic sourcing.
To be considered for this role, candidates will have come up through the ranks of a top consulting firm and have considerable experience in operations improvement. Ideally, the candidate would have been a top manager in an industrial company with line experience.
Furthermore, the above-mentioned experience should be coupled with a thorough understanding of the local business and cultural realities, pronounced leadership skills, and excellent communication. The candidate should have a result orientation and a strong focus on making change happen.
Candidate Profile:
- Excellent academic results
- University degree or equivalent experience with a strong emphasis on quantitative skills, especially:
- Commerce/Economics
- Mathematics / Science
- Double degrees and Postgraduate degrees are highly regarded in our firm
- MBA would be an advantage
- At least 8+ years of consulting experience where you have also lead performance improvement. A mix of consulting with industry experience in senior operation roles, with exposure to performance improvement ideally in mining/resources/heavy industry.
Purpose & Objectives:
- Assist with the delivery of measurable improvements (Ideas)
- Implement the processes and systems that will sustain ongoing improvements in the future (Wiring)
- Develop business improvement capabilities through extensive coaching and mentoring (Skills)
- As you grow in the role, you could be asked to sell new engagements and continuation work to build a sustainable pipeline of engagements for the UK & EU Practice, in line with the selling targets.
The role is designed for a well-networked individual, who really enjoys delivering value. Furthermore, someone who can work independently and in a team. The candidate would have the charisma and confidence (with a solid business background) to get in front of General Managers and ‘C-Level’ Execs and to be able to relate to their business issues, particularly at an Operational level.
