Off the pitch, we've made history with over 60k watching Arsenal at The Emirates for the first time, and over a million attendances across the Barclays Women's Super League and Barclays Women's Championship combined this season. With the creation of Newco (new name pending), an independent company solely dedicated to running the top two tiers of women's football in England, we aim to transform women's football in this country and build the most distinctive, competitive, and entertaining women's football club competition in the world.
Our social media results have amazing momentum too as we recently hit the 3M cumulative follower mark, welcoming over 800k new followers to our channels this season alone. Over the next decade, as part of an accelerated league-wide growth strategy, there will be significant investment into content production and distribution and with the addition of TikTok last season and the introduction of a YouTube channel for next season, video content has never been more important.
This role is therefore a hugely important one within the Women's Pro Game (WPG) Marketing Team. Our Video Producer will be leading in executing the video strategy and owning what the future of video output looks like for the Barclays Women's Super League and Barclays Women's Championship-owned and operated channels. Delivery will be in part through our social media agency; therefore, we are looking for someone who can both lead, inspire and manage agencies while also having the creativity and hands-on skills to bring ideas to life.
The successful candidate will be part of a team tasked to elevate our content through brilliant storytelling. This means you will need a thorough understanding of what best practice means for video content across social and what makes video content engaging for our audience. You will be able to adapt quickly to our ever-growing audience and learn what content they want to be served. As well as being in the know with the latest social trends, you will also need excellent planning skills as you work within a team that operates around the women's football calendar so being able to execute content ideas to tight deadlines is a must.
