United Kingdom Medico Digital Full time

We are a group of ambitious, passionate and fun marketing specialists looking to transform the way in which healthcare organisations are seen and found online.

We’re looking for a proactive, content marketing specialist with intricate knowledge of web development and content strategy to join our growing team of friendly, hard-working individuals that together make up our wonderful team.

With an experienced delivery team, we offer a holistic solution for the healthcare sector, including website development, search marketing and social media marketing for a range of healthcare clients across the world, including SMEs, national and global brands.

The role

The role is currently fully remote. We embrace a modern, flexible and all-in approach to remote working – self-motivation is a must. We’re a close, supportive team that works hard to deliver exceptional results for our clients. We have a fantastic reputation and an ambition to be the absolute best in class at what we do.

You’ll work with the content marketing and web teams, reporting to the Content Manager, playing a pivotal role in helping shape and deliver the agency’s website content strategy offering for its clients.

The responsibilities
  • Work as the content lead with an interdisciplinary team of UX, design, and development, collaborating with UX and digital designers to deliver compelling UX solutions for our clients.
  • Help develop content strategy deliverables based on client business objectives and user needs, documenting content and research report summaries for web projects.
  • Manage the end-to-end content workflow for website projects, applying user-centred content design.
  • Conduct research on trending topics and keywords in order to identify focus content areas.
  • Create and facilitate workshops with clients to identify/develop content requirements, sitemaps, future-state content inventories, editorial workflows, page tables, governance, gap analyses, and content mapping documentation.
  • Enhance, edit and reformat legacy content, and identify new content for creation, in close collaboration with clients and copywriting teams.
  • Create structured content for CMS implementers and be comfortable using CMS tools to upload and edit content.
  • Help create taxonomies and metadata frameworks for grouping and tagging content.
  • Apply visual and editorial style guidance consistently and diligently, demonstrating excellent attention to detail.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on all website content strategies, establishing tools, guidelines and processes to help support upskilling internal teams on content design.
  • Utilise project management tools such as Jira and Monday to manage workload and communicate project updates to team members.
Does this sound like you?
  • A strong understanding of content’s role in the digital design process, and know how to brief developers and copywriters.
  • You champion accessibility and user-centred design and have experience in advising people on the best content design tools and methods, while balancing these against clients’ strategic requirements, taking a pragmatic approach to content presentation.
  • Ability to create content that meets user needs and business objectives.
  • Ability to use analytics data, user research and other evidence to improve content and make recommendations.
  • Understanding of the interface and ability to brief and work closely with developers and copywriters.
  • A strong understanding of SEO (search engine optimisation) and how this will affect the content you create.
  • Ability to explain content best practices to non-experts in, for example, presentations, workshops and client meetings.
  • Ability to build relationships and work closely with content owners or subject matter experts to make sure content is accurate and consistent.
  • Ability to make complex content easy to understand using plain English ability to write and edit using a style guide.
  • An avid follower of developments in content strategy as a discipline.
  • Experience in working with tools such as Screaming Frog, Majestic, SEMrushand Google Search Console.
The benefits
  • A competitive salary (DOE).
  • A chance to work at one of the most well-regarded, healthcare-specific digital agencies in the UK, working with international clients and global healthcare brands.
  • A place to voice your opinion and make a difference. If you have ideas about how we can improve the way we operate, then we’re all ears We take a collaborative approach to all new ideas, especially if they’ll improve the experiences of our staff and clients.
  • A fully remote but connected team with bi-annual team retreats to socialise and promote staff wellbeing.
  • A flexible work-life balance. Many agencies lack respect for personal time but at Medico we pride ourselves on understanding that people work to live, not live to work. We’ve never worked a weekend or late evening
  • A part in our profit share scheme. As a thank you for all your hard work, you’ll receive an annual bonus from our profit share scheme.
  • A private health insurance package with generous rewards. We are partnered with AXA Health which provides fast access to high-quality healthcare.
  • A supportive environment for development and growth. Whether an internal training course or an external qualification, we always encourage professional development and will support your progression.
  • Charity fundraising initiatives to give back to the healthcare sector we work with.

We’re always on the look out for bright and talented individuals to join our family.
