Summary

A London based renewable energy developer are seeking a Grid Engineer to join their grid team.

As Grid Engineer, you will identify and develop opportunities for solar, wind and BESS projects across the UK electricity grid.

You will liaise and work alongside various stakeholders in order to deliver solar, wind and BESS projects ready for development.

Responsibilities

  • As Grid Engineer, you will identify and qualify grid capacity suitable for renewable energy (BESS, solar, wind), and other power projects across the UK
  • Develop strategies for greenfield Solar, wind and BESS projects, as well as existing projects and project acquisitions
  • Manage the grid application process
  • Work with the legal team to oversee the delivery agreements
  • Manage the project pipeline by liaising with DNOs & IDNOs
  • Stay abreast of industry regulations and technology developments
  • Take ownership of projects, including deadlines, objectives, timelines, and success criteria
  • Attend industry and engagement conferences and events

Requirements

Our client are seeking an experience Grid Engineer (2+ years) in the UK electricity grid

Experience in grid applications for large power projects (ideally Solar, Wind and BESS)

Relevant academic experience (electrical or power engineering)

Eligibility to live and work in the UK
