Key Competencies and Underpinning Knowledge:
- Experience on significant Infrastructure projects, especially Defence and Energy .
- Understanding of the Cost driversthat define a project and ability to convert engineering data intomeaningful cost drivers.
- Understanding of all aspects ofdirect and indirect Costs.
- Communication and interpersonalskills, with the ability to present cost work concisely.
- Ability to challenge colleagues in a constructive manner in order toachieve positive outcomes.
- Ability to interact effectivelywith colleagues in many different disciplines involved in our ClientsProgramme.
- Familiarity of government initiatives andpolicies.
Responsibilities:
- Single pointof contact for all our client’s infrastructure costs, working closelywith the Estimating Management team to implement and maintain CostManagement and Estimating systems to ensure accurate reporting,benchmarking, and analysis of our clients’ infrastructure costs.
- Support implementation of accurate Cost measurement processesincluding progress and performance measurement.
- Provideprofessional advice covering our clients’ infrastructure costs tostakeholders (including but not limited to Procurement Specialists,Cost / Contract Management Personnel, Estimators and ProjectControls).
- Ensure continuous development and improvement ofClient’s policies, procedures, and resources for all cost and relatedcontrols services.
- Work closely with the Scheduling Team toensure integration and alignment of cost models and schedules.
- Aid in the development of benchmarking database and reportingprocess to provide timely and accurate advice to inform decisionmaking.
Requirements:
- Member of theRoyal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, ACostE, ICES or similarrelevant professional association.
- Quantity surveyingskills and comprehensive understanding of the construction industry.
- Familiarity of government initiatives and policies.
