Homeless Outreach Worker

Berry Recruitment are looking for an Assertive Outreach Worker on a 6 month contract to work for a local authority based at the Lyndhurst offices.
The hourly pay rate is £14.98 and working hours 37 per week Monday to Friday. (The main purpose of this role is to respond to reports of rough sleeping in locations around the community, build relationships with them and support a caseload to access benefit, health services and accommodation.
Own transport is preferred as you will need to travel to different locations for this role.
You will need an Enhanced DBS for this role.
Support them to access benefit, welfare and health services and accommodation
Work in partnership with Homelessness and Housing Advice Officers and other support workers
Minimum of 2 proven years experience working with people with mental health issues, substance misuse and debt issues
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
