Blind Veterans UK – Bookings & Administration Co-ordinator

About Us

We’re Blind Veterans UK, a charity that helps vision-impaired ex-service people from every generation rebuild their lives regardless of how or when they lost their sight. Founded in 1915, by Sir Arthur Pearson, to help the many veterans losing their sight after the First World War, we have supported those blinded in subsequent wars and military engagements, including the Second World War, and more recently, the conflicts in the Faulklands, Iraq and Afghanistan.

We’re one transformational team that believes every vision-impaired veteran should be able to lead the life they choose.

We are currently seeking a Bookings & Administration Co-ordinator to join our Llandudno team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Benefits

– Competitive salary
– Enhanced Pay
– Generous annual leave with the option to buy additional days
– Pension scheme with generous employer contributions
– Healthcare cash plan
– Access to legal services and mental health support
– Employee assistance programme
– Paid professional subscriptions and discounts
– Professional and personal development

This is a fantastic opportunity for a customer-focused individual with bookkeeping expertise and experience of leading a team to join our impactful organisation.

Every day, you’ll have the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of blind veterans and their families, ensuring we provide quality services and can help our members lead independent, fulfilling lives and achieve victory over blindness.

So, if you want to join a compassionate and supportive team where caring is at the heart of everything we do, apply today.

The Role

As the Bookings & Administration Co-ordinator, you will ensure a high-quality booking experience for our members and customers.

Reporting to the Hospitality Lead, you will line manage our Hospitality Team and oversee the safe and efficient running of the customer facing operation within our Llandudno centre to ensure the best service is delivered in all areas.

You will manage accommodation reservations at the centre, ensuring all details are entered into the accommodation management system and overseeing room allocation for members and other beneficiaries.

Additionally, you will:

– Provide reception cover
– Co-ordinate the administration of the petty cash system and processing of finances
– Develop, monitor and manage a members’ feedback model

About You

To be considered as our Bookings & Administration Co-ordinator, you will need:

– Experience leading a team in a busy customer service environment
– Bookkeeping experience
– Great customer care skills
– At a minimum, GCSEs or equivalent at level 4 / Grade C or above in Maths and English
