Bristol, Leeds, Cardiff, London JOB DESCRIPTION: Distributor Sales Manager, Key Account Manager, National Account Manager, Business Development Manager - industrial manufacturer - aerospace, automotive, oil and gas As our Distributor Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the acquisition, support and further development of existing customers and key distributors within the United Kingdom. You will work closely with our inside sales and marketing teams and with sales management to achieve significant revenue growth in these territories. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Distributor Sales Manager, Key Account Manager, National Account Manager, Business Development Manager - industrial manufacturer - aerospace, automotive, oil and gas A more detailed brief will be made available to those who are shortlisted but in short, as part of the European sales team, you will:
  • Be responsible for value added selling to key customers and distributors, acting as a trusted advisor and partner.
  • Develop and execute strategies to create organic growth in assigned territories working with our inside sales, marketing and sales management.
  • Sell consumable products and accessories offered, as well as capital equipment with the help of Product Management and the rest of the team.
  • Develop or enhance sales capabilities through continuing education seminars and/or programs.
  • Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets across assigned territories, both in consumables, accessories and capital equipment.
  • Manage existing key accounts and distributors
  • Identify and acquire new key accounts and distributors in assigned territories.
  • Customer visits / contacts according to agreed-upon goals and objectives
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Distributor Sales Manager, Key Account Manager, National Account Manager, Business Development Manager - industrial manufacturer - aerospace, automotive, oil and gas We would be delighted to receive applications from individuals who meet the following brief:
  • You will have experience of selling a component or consumable across targeted markets via distributors. Any Chemical or NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) experience would be of particular interest, but not essential.
  • Demonstrable key account management experience.
  • Execute a strategic sales hunter mindset combined with excellent account management.
  • Demonstrate a solid track record of achieving successful sales growth within manufacturing, oil and gas, aerospace or automotive industries.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills to communicate value propositions at all levels within key accounts or distributors.
  • You are results oriented, self-organised and self-motivated, as well as highly reliable. Your colleagues appreciate you as open-minded, team-oriented, self-confident and assertive.
  • Attitude is critical - your positive, optimistic, energetic and hands on attitude should be an inspiration to customers and peers.
  • You must be able and eager to travel freely within assigned territory (including overnight travel) a minimum of 30% of the time. Additional travel may be required depending on business requirements.
