About the Role We are searching for a Group Financial Controller to lead our finance team at The ECA International Group. Reporting directly to the Group CFO, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial accounting, establishing and maintaining financial policies, and driving the preparation of relevant financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements across the group. A key part of this role will involve strategic financial planning and analysis to support decision-making and contribute to the company's overall growth and success. Day to Day Responsible for- The collection and consolidation of all subsidiaries data, producing a consolidated P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and appropriate monthly/quarterly reporting packs
- Carrying out monthly reconciliation of all Group level balances
- Continuing to develop financial systems, processes and controls across the group
- Overseeing day-to-day financial management of all Group companies, ensuring regulatory compliance
- Managing Group liquidity and cash flow Oversee Group audit process
- Running the groups payroll both via Xero, Bob and outsourced providers
- Providing supporting documentation to inform forecasts, budgets, proposals and procurement negotiation
- Preparing and present annual financial statements and consolidated statements under UK GAAP
- Partnering with the Group CFO and CEO, providing financial insight and constructive challenge
- Assisting Group leadership with investment decisions, providing relevant info and analysis as required
- A qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience
- Proven experience as a Group Financial Controller or similar role
- In-depth understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and financial controls
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a finance team
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience in a multinational company preferred
- Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and MS Office applications
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
