Job Title: Finance Business Partner

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Business Partner to join our team at phs Group. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for providing senior commercial and financial advice, analysis, and support to our Managing Director and other senior leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide proactive and meaningful financial analysis and advice on operational issues and commercial decision-making.
  • Support the Managing Director in the development of the business within the framework of the phs Group business plan.
  • Prepare and present management reports, including monthly trading reviews and board reports, to senior leaders.
  • Coordinate the budget and forecasting processes, providing meaningful analysis and commentary to the phs Group Leadership Team and Group Finance department.
  • Ensure a robust financial control infrastructure is in place, with accurate financial data and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Work with the Managing Director and Group Pricing Team to develop pricing policies that deliver new business on acceptable commercial terms.
  • Oversee day-to-day financial processing, including payroll, purchase ledger, and credit control.

Requirements:

  • A commercially astute, proactive self-starter with a recognized accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, ACMA).
  • Experience as a Business Partner within a senior management team, with a strong understanding of key business drivers.
  • Ability to sustain profitability, quality, and service standards using key performance indicators and ratios.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to contribute to strategy and policy development.
  • Broad financial management experience in a business-to-business service organization.
