We have an exciting new opportunity for a highly motivated, dynamic Senior Project Controls Manager who will lead on the management and co-ordination of development activities within Programme Controls to support improvement in People, Process and Systems. The successful candidate should have a good technical ability across the full spectrum of project controls to help support our expansion across the UK.

You'll

  • Provide strategic leadership and potential line management of the Project Controls Quality, Assurance, and Improvement Function.

  • Establish a Project Controls Quality, Assurance, and Improvement Framework and integrate it within the project.

  • Accountable for the timely closeout of all assurance findings within Project Controls.

  • Lead the development and rollout of awareness and practitioner training for Project Controls functions.

  • Develop functional training plans to support the continued professional development of the Programme Controls teams.

  • Promote the project as an exemplar in Project Controls through knowledge sharing, networking, and delivering white papers and presentations to the industry.

About You

Essential

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in business analysis, accounting, finance, construction, engineering or project management, or related technical field.

  • A track record of implementing project controls procedures, processes, and systems on large and complex infrastructure projects.

  • Experience of working within more than one of the Project Controls Functions of: cost control, estimating, scheduling, change management and risk management.

  • Detailed understanding of earned value analysis.

Desirable

  • Lean Six Sigma or equivalent qualification and experience.

  • Experience with Process Mapping techniques and software.

  • Workshop facilitation experience

  • Previous experience in assurance activities within Project Controls.

  • Expert user of a range of project controls systems.

  • Active membership of AACE, PMI, APM or similar association with association certifications.

  • Understanding of various contract types, in particular the NEC suite and FIDIC.

  • Professionally qualified with chartered or equivalent status.

  • Experience in the Nuclear sector.

Requirements and Location:

  • Full right to work in the UK

  • Working from home and a minimum of 2 days in London
