Job Role: Shipping Coordinator

Contract Inside IR35

Peterborough, UK

Min. of 1year Export experience or transportation/booking background.

Customer service experience

3 days on site, 2 wfh. First couple of weeks during training will need to be onsite more often.

This role sits within the Supply Chain team based in Peterborough and will be a key player in planning, arranging and processing shipments to our global customer base.

Import/Export from UK

Incoterms - terms of carriage

HMRC procedural knowledge

SOX - Sarbanes Oxley

What You Will Do:

• Arrange for shipments of products to be despatched to customers based on available product

• Working with carriers and customers to agree collection schedules

• Send all relevant documentation for the shipments to the necessary contacts

• Prepare, submit and record the export entry for goods sent overseas

Import/Export: Knowledge of issues, procedures, tools and practices of importing and exporting; ability to import and export goods to and from international locations.

Level Working Knowledge:

• Completes all required export documentation for repetitive transactions.

• Ensures all export entries remain compliant with HMRC and identifies and corrects any errors.

Transportation: Knowledge of transportation; ability to transport materials and goods to manufacturing facilities and customers.

Level Working Knowledge:

• Participates in arranging transportation of goods.

• Ensures on time shipments; anticipates and resolves shipping problems.

• Works with at least one type of transportation mode and carrier.
