FPG is looking for a Program Manager for a leading telecommunications company dedicated to delivering cutting-edge solutions in the ever-evolving landscape of telecommunications. They specialise in harnessing the power of 5G technology and Open Radio Access Network (ORAN) solutions.
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Program Manager to lead our 5G/ORAN project. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project lifecycle, from planning and execution to delivery and closure. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in financial management, risk management, technical software projects, and stakeholder management.
Project Planning and Execution:
Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets.
Coordinate resources, tasks, and activities to ensure project milestones are met.
Monitor project progress and proactively identify and address any issues or risks.
Manage project budgets and expenses, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.
Forecast and track project financials, including expenditures and revenues.
Provide regular financial reports to stakeholders and senior management.
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on the project.
Monitor and evaluate risks throughout the project lifecycle, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Communicate risks and mitigation plans to stakeholders and project team members.
Technical Software Projects:
Oversee the delivery of technical software projects related to 5G/ORAN technology.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project objectives and technical requirements.
Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder Management:
Communicate project updates, status reports, and key milestones to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
Address stakeholder concerns and escalate issues as needed to ensure project success.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience managing large-scale telecom projects, with a focus on 5G/ORAN technology.
Strong financial management skills, with experience managing project budgets of at least £5 million.
Demonstrated expertise in risk management and mitigation strategies.
Experience delivering technical software projects in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with diverse stakeholders.
PMP or Prince2 certification is a plus.
Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization and lead cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
