The Vacancy
Torus Housing Group has ambitious development aspirations to deliver over 5,000 new homes across the North West with a capital investment of £600million over the next five years. Our ambitious programme covers our three heartland areas of Liverpool, St Helens and Warrington as well as eight other Local Authorities.
The post-holder will be part of a supportive and motivated Development Team with expectations to source new schemes to add to the Torus Development Programme and lead on delivering complex development projects to meet the aspirations contained in the Group’s Corporate Plan. This role will report to the Director of Development and Technical.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and committed member of the team with the ability to manage and lead, taking responsibility for bringing forward viable development schemes, managing them through to completion, efficiently, and have a flexible approach to work. Alongside this you will be a result focused professional, managing a team of Project Managers, Assistants and Clerk of Works to deliver on Torus’ ambitions.
To be successful in this role you will:
Have experience of working in a successful target driven development environment. Leading a team to deliver and complete new schemes contained within a large scale complex development programme.
Be experienced in sourcing new development schemes and possess an in-depth knowledge of the development process.
Have an in-depth knowledge of grant funding and Home England processes and compliance.
An ability to communicate and influence a wide range of staff, customers and partners is essential.
