We are excited to offer an opportunity for a diverse group of talented students to join the internship program at Schonfeld. You’ll spend ten weeks with Execution Risk team within the Schonfeld Risk department where you will be immersed in the culture and atmosphere of Schonfeld, working alongside talented professionals .
The Execution Risk team is responsible for monitoring and mitigating firmwide execution risk and hyper-event risk. As an Execution Risk Summer Intern, you will focus on a research and development project related to automated monitoring of operational risks in the firm. This will involve research, development, and deployment of new metrics to surface and monitor aspects of execution or hyper-event risk. You will present your research project at the end of the program. Upon completion of the internship, you may be extended a full-time offer of employment.
A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in a quantitative or technical field such as computer science, electrical engineering, math, physics, or statistics (ideally with one year left in your academic program)
Experience working with Python and with SQL in a Linux environment
Course work in data science, statistics, or machine learning
Knowledge of Python numerical packages such as pandas and numpy
Experience working with large multi-dimensional data sets
Our Internship The Schonfeld summer internship provides students with a unique opportunity to experience Schonfeld, our work, our people, and our culture.
