This is a hybrid role, and we are flexible on your location, but there will be 2-3 days per week working from your local office, or other offices around the UK as required. Working with our Director of Supply Chain, you’ll set and implement the contractor and contracting strategy to optimise the spend in our Network Build division and related activities to deliver optimal value for money with the right partners. You’ll also develop and lead the engagement of our build contractors to help facilitate the ongoing delivery of full fibre networking in our targeted build areas. Leading CityFibre's contracting and contractor strategy across CityFibre's wider leadership team working with Build, Planning & Design, PMO and Commercial teams
Building, leading, developing and managing a Pre-Contract team
Ensuring we meet or exceed contract award timelines for BDUK across our selected lots and other key build activities
Monitoring supply risks and adherence to our procurement policies and procedures
Capturing and interpreting data in an accessible way to enable us to drive clear actions for improvement through evaluation and clear processes with particular focus on rate improvements or other ways to drive efficiency and value for money
You’ll be an industry recognised expert in the creation and negotiation of construction and telecoms specific contracts, with strong experience in supplier and client engagement and being able to influence positive outcomes through relationship building. A track record leading a successful team in a fast paced and agile environment
Ability to develop new commercial approaches
Strong stakeholder management experience, encouraging partnering, shared risk and collaboration to support high performing projects and outputs
