The role:
As an MSC Drilling Service Line Manager your core role will be to lead & manage operational and commercial excellence to a high standard; to underpin all aspects of the performance of the MSC-Geotech Service Line “Marine Drilling.” Every day will bring new challenges and no day will be the same. The role will be based in the stunning area of natural beauty, Falmouth, Cornwall UK. You will have the opportunity to be effective on a global platform. You will be leading an exceptionally successful service line in a buoyant market, with further and future opportunities to grow.
You will be responsible for HSSEQ business compliance for planned and actual activities throughout the life cycle of a project or service offering.
You will be responsible for providing marine drilling operational personnel and equipment to meet the needs of internal client base, whilst striving for continuous improvement through technical and operational efficiency and you will support Fugro innovation,
The MSC Marine Drilling line team is a large team, you will have proven experience of leading and implementing change to support the progression and development of the team, cultivating a positive working environment to enable the Fugro team members to perform and grow their skillset and knowledge.
You will be responsible for the financial performance of the service line in accordance with the business targets, and this will entail good reporting requirements.
You will be the key representation of the service line with key stakeholders, external and internal. Collaborating to ensure we achieve revenue growth, profitability with the proposal, operational, technical and project delivery teams.
The role will entail travel requirements on business need, across our Fugro sites in EUAF, Client meetings, including a minimum of six site visits per year.

This person needs to be a natural motivator, leading a management team and supporting their development and growth.
This is an exciting and demanding role with many facets to it. You will be someone who has strong project delivery and commercial acumen within a Drilling/Marine/Civils or Geotechnical background. You will be a leader with a good understanding of financial related matters, managing revenue and costs in accordance with the profit plan/budget. Must be IT literate and experience of using reporting tools, to prepare monthly business line reports. The ability to multitask across different areas of expertise is imperative showing flexibility and resilience. You will manage commercial interests in contracts externally and be responsible to authorise POs in accordance with Fugro’s approval Matrix.
