Assistant Planner - Preston - Construction
An opportunity has arisen to join an established well known leading construction main contractor for a permanent role covering a wide variety of schemes. As the Assistant Planner, you will be responsible for the support to planning and project function to a variety of schemes within Healthcare, Local Authority, Education and Leisure.

This position will include the following responsibilities:

* Develop the short term and detailed project Programmes with the Contract / Project Manager

* Identify project critical success factors for the programme

* Maintain as-built Programmes from weekly progress information including activity start and finish dates

* Establish effective relationships with the supply chain and ensure planning requirements are understood and being acted upon

* Optimise distribution of information, using the document control system

* Contribute to the planning input for the contract documentation and client specific documents etc.

* Use of relevant software such as Microsoft Project, Asta Power Project would be desirable

Your role in the business would be an integral one and they will want to develop you to full Planner status leading bids and programmes for their schemes.
