Our client is an exciting mid market womenswear brand who have been successful in carving out a niche in the market. They have a strong brand ethos and identity, and they are on a strong growth trajectory.

They are looking for a Buying Assistant to come on board and join their team. This is a great role for someone with experience in the industry looking to continue their career in buying.

Providing support to the Buying Team, Key responsibilities include:

  • Administrative support to the Buying Team.
  • Developing costing sheets and ensure price changes and costings are kept up to date.
  • Manage all stages of the ordering process, including purchase orders, sample requests, sharing accurate trim and wash care information.
  • Establishing strong relationships with worldwide suppliers, acting as a liaison between them and the buying team.
  • Take ownership of the Critical Path, to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Provide the team with support in managing samples for photography, quality assessment, and showroom display.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Meticulous time management skills with a highly organised mindset, demonstrating your ability to prioritise tasks, multitask and manage projects with deadlines.
  • A flexible approach to your work and the business, be a key team player and adapt as required with the ability to work well as part of a small growing team.
  • Experience working with off shore factories in the Far East and Asia.
  • Experience within a similar role within womenswear clothing and be able to come in and hit the ground running.
  • Good communication skills, being able to effectively communicate across the business.
