Responsibilities

  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to support the buying department's objectives.
  • Manage and maintain accurate and concise filing and data systems.
  • Generate weekly reports for trade analysis.
  • Communicate with suppliers on a daily basis.
  • Assist in preparing for buying trips.
  • Verify the accuracy of information, formulas, and missing data.
  • Contribute to trend reports and presentations for luxury department store managers and retail staff.
  • Monitor competitors, research, and present new brand proposals and provide feedback on current market trends.
  • Collaborate with brands, manage order confirmations, purchase orders, and repeats while maintaining a comprehensive and accurate tracker and priority schedule.
  • Participate in store visits and provide detailed feedback to the buying and merchandising teams.
  • Manage workload and priority lists for the merchandising admin team and interns or work experience attendees.
  • Review margins and RRP's, highlighting seasonal changes and providing details for consistent growth.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a buying admin role is preferred (placement year or internship experience will be considered).
  • Passionate about gaining experience and developing a career in branded buying.
  • Passionate about working with luxury high-fashion brands.
  • Proactive, hard-working, and excellent at building relationships.
  • Advanced Excel skills are advantageous.
  • Hard-working, proactive, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage own workload.
