Principal People are currently working on behalf of a leading specialist manufacturing organisation who are looking for an Interim Health and Safety Consultant on a 2-3 month contract based on their site near to Chesterfield. They are seeking someone who can commit to 3 days per week for this site.

This contract will involve:

  1. Offering overall Health and Safety assistance to the site and management teams.
  2. Undertaking a review of the current H&S function on the site.
  3. Working with management and on-site teams to improve overall Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) practices.
  4. Driving a positive health and safety culture.
  5. Handling general operational health and safety responsibilities including daily site walks and inspections.
  6. Managing other related responsibilities.

This contract is to pay a day rate of between £350-400/day .

Key Criteria for This Role:
  1. NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent is desirable, but General Certificate is accepted.
  2. Experience within the manufacturing sector or closely related environments (e.g., Heavy Engineering, Industrial, Heavy Machinery, FMCG).
  3. Able to gain buy-in and drive positive health and safety cultures.
  4. Availability to commit to 3 days of work per week for 2-3 months.
  5. Available at short notice.
  6. A strong communicator able to liaise at all levels.
