Exciting Opportunity: Associate Assistant Principal – Leading on enrichment and character formation.

Are you passionate about providing an outstanding education within a nurturing and inclusive environment? We are seeking a dedicated Associate Assistant Principal to join our team at Avanti Fields, working closely with the Principal and Senior Team to uphold our ethos of educational excellence, character development, and spiritual insight.

As a key leader, you will oversee all aspects of school leadership and management, ensuring inclusive learning and teaching practices while supporting our enriching curriculum aligned with national standards. Your role will involve fostering an environment where students can explore diverse activities and experiences to develop their character, while also leading and inspiring a team of middle leaders towards innovative teaching strategies and professional growth. Avanti Fields School is an all-through, faith-designated (Hindu) state school which welcomed the first intake of Year 7 students in September 2018, and first intake of Nursery and Reception students in September 2022. The school is rapidly expanding and will grow year by year to a full cohort of 1,320. This is an exciting time to join the school as it continues its journey to outstanding.

What will you do?

  • To assist the Principal in shaping a vision and direction for the school, setting out very high expectations and with a clear focus on achievement.
  • To coordinate and manage the careers and student leadership areas of the school, from EYFS to KS4.
  • Cover classes, within the framework of the school’s cover arrangements, where a teacher is absent; providing cover information for other teachers in the event of known and foreseen absence(s);

  • Qualified to bachelor’s degree level in relevant subject or allied subject
  • The ability to lead, model and manage positive behaviour, good order and assertive discipline in the school
