The main purpose of the role is to lead the 6th form management team, tutor team and sixth form teachers to raise the achievement of students in Years 12 & 13.
Leadership and Management
Support self-evaluation and strategic planning of sixth form provision
Lead strategic planning in the sixth form
Ensure that appropriate systems are in place to analyse student performance data
Manage the effective deployment, use and care of budgetary and physical resources including the bursary system
Quality of education
Lead the development of high quality enrichment activities as part of the sixth form programme of study
Lead provision that ensures that students are ready for the next stage of education, employment or training
Ensure the safety and management of risk of 6th form students and lead the effective implementation of procedures relating to students’ wellbeing in the 6th form including safeguarding and ensure close liaison with the safeguarding team.
