Job Purpose:

The Partnership Relationship Manager’s role in the Commercial Team is responsible for managing Partnership client relationships and strategic partnerships. This will involve building long-term mutually beneficial relationships with individuals that have a foreign exchange requirement as a result of buying property overseas, mortgage repayments, tuition fees etc. Alongside managing individual clients, a significant emphasis will be on developing new partnerships and affiliate relationships that can refer Partnership clients. The Relationship Manager will be supported by Account Executives and will be expected to collaborate closely with them to generate the best results for the client.

The Relationship Manager’s primary purpose is to ensure that our clients are being serviced effectively and that all revenue opportunities are being maximised in a sustainable and compliant manner. The Relationship Manager will be responsible for generating a proportion of the overall revenue targets and nurturing a loyal client base that promotes the benefits. A huge emphasis will be placed on client retention and delivering services, solutions and strategies that present real value for our clients. Putting the client first and treating the client fairly is at the core values and will need to be adhered to at all times. The Relationship Manager is a key part of the Front of House team and as such will be expected to work in line with the company’s strategy as well contributing fresh strategic ideas that can benefit the business. Promoting the culture and ethos that will be expected as well as working in a transparent and compliant manner.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Building long term mutually beneficial relationships with clients
  • Executing trades that are requested by clients and ensuring the correct protocol is followed when doing this
  • Providing a proactive and service led relationship for all clients that puts the client first before generating revenue
  • Providing ongoing market commentary and suggestions that will enable our clients to make the most informed decisions when executing their FX trades
  • Explaining how our proposition can add value and benefit our clients where relevant
  • Responsible for achieving a level of revenue for the team
  • The individual will be expected to grow his portfolio through referrals, networking and establishing relationships with partnerships and affiliates
  • Maintaining a minimum client retention rate and always striving to overachieve this
  • Cross-selling the other services on offer, for example, corporate referrals
  • Networking across the FX industry to identify market gaps where could benefit or where our solutions could be enhanced further
  • Regular reporting on trading activity and effective CRM management
  • Accurately forecasting expected revenues and effective pipeline management
  • Supporting the rest of the Relationship Managers and assisting other clients
  • Clearly explaining all the terms and conditions attached to any trade executed
  • Collecting any variation margin and deposits that are owed
  • Supporting back office and all operations when dealing with payments and client queries
  • Collaborating and supporting the Account Executives to achieve the best results for the client
  • Helping with marketing campaigns and developing collateral that can help promote our services and product offering
  • Consistently upholding the company culture, core values and principles and attitude to compliance

Personal Specification & Culture:

  • Experienced professional with significant sales experience and account management in the FX and payments industry
  • A proven track record in achieving revenue targets
  • An understanding of financial services and the foreign exchange market
  • Strong entrepreneurial skills and a natural ability to spot opportunities for revenue generation
  • Understands how a sales process works and how to progress an opportunity through this process
  • Forward-thinking and always looking for innovative solutions that can enhance the proposition for our clients
  • Can provide mentoring, coaching, and development of sales staff
  • Presentation skills and comfortable when networking and public speaking
  • Accountable individual that is willing to take a wide range of responsibility across several different areas within the business
  • Willing to communicate to the business at large and share best practice across all departments
  • Understands, embraces, and adds to the culture. Acts as an ambassador for the business and its business model
  • High level of professional communication skills both in verbal and written formats
  • Personable and has the skills to build rapport and establish personal relationships

Working Conditions:

  • The role will be based on the central London office, however, flexibility can be offered.
  • The normal working day will start at 8:00 until 5:00. A period for lunch and breaks should be taken. Flexibility will be provided but the individual must be contactable.
  • The role of Partnership Relationship Manager will report to the Commercial Director and will be accountable and assessed on their performance on that basis
  • Remuneration will consist of a basic salary and a compensation scheme
  • A period of 25 days annual leave will be provided.
