Why the post exists

Do you have an in-depth understanding of Welfare to Work programmes, the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) ‘place and train’ model, the health and wellbeing landscape and supporting people with significant barriers back into meaningful employment?

As the Service Manager within the Employment Services department, you will make a real difference to the community through overseeing Work & Health Programmes in Nottingham, Mansfield, Ashfield and the High Peak.

Our programmes aim to support people with significant barriers to work into sustainable paid employment. You will be an experienced programme and team manager responsible for the day-to-day delivery and overall performance of the service while putting participant needs at the heart of what we do.

Overview

Key areas of responsibility
  • Combine vision, direction, strong relationship building and people management skills to ensure programme success.
  • Accountable for programme performance across multiple sites.
  • In-house development and promotion of Individual Placement and Support (IPS), the fidelity scale and place & train model of service delivery.
  • Directly line manage Senior Employment Specialists through providing consistent messaging, regular supervision, advice relating to service delivery and compliance, and operating as a support mechanism for complex staffing or caseload issues.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with the prime contractor, support partners, employment providers and referral sources as well as maintaining partnerships with key stakeholders and commissioners.
  • Able and willing to travel across Nottinghamshire and the High Peak to meet participants and employers, and deliver training to ensure our services are accessible to all.
