Role:
Act as a specialist company representative to offer consultancy and technical advice to main contractors, architects and engineering consultancies to assist in the design, engineering, and delivery of their projects.
Responsibilities:
- Technical Expertise: Contribute to the design and engineering of curtain wall systems, including materials selection, thermal performance, and structural integrity.
- Understand the design and buildability of various curtain wall systems, with knowledge of different materials (glass, metal) and installation techniques.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest curtain wall technologies and industry standards.
- Project Management: Collaborate with architects, builders, and other project consultants to ensure a cohesive design that integrates effectively with the overall building.
- Prepare technical documentation, including hand sketches, reports, and specifications for curtain wall systems.
- May be involved in creating fee proposals for curtain wall projects.
- Communication and Problem-Solving: Respond to queries from other project team members regarding the curtain wall system.
- Attend project meetings and clearly communicate technical details to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Help troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the design, fabrication, or installation of the curtain wall system.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in curtain wall design and engineering.
- Strong understanding of building codes and regulations.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit)
