Business Development Executive

We are seeking a proactive Business Development Executive to join our clients team. The successful candidate will be responsible for account development and maintenance with the objective of maximising revenue in line with the Company’s strategic goals. Day to Day of the role:

  • Maintain and develop a profitable customer portfolio through ethical sales methods and tailored propositions.
  • Understand customers’ business needs to offer the best solutions.
  • Respond to sales enquiries and follow up using appropriate methods.
  • Procure products in line with customer requirements and Company guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimise service quality, business growth, and customer satisfaction.
  • Resolve customer and supplier issues, including financial matters when necessary.
  • Represent the Company professionally at customer meetings and industry functions.
  • Report on market and customer trends, competitor activity, and gather intelligence.
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities and promote the Company to prospective clients.
  • Ensure all sales administration is completed to a high standard and promptly.
  • Maintain and update the customer database and conduct account planning strategies.
  • Attend industry functions and report on insights and opportunities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in business development or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes and dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Proficient in maintaining and updating customer databases.
  • Adept at conducting market analysis and reporting on business trends.
  • Capable of managing multiple accounts and prioritising tasks effectively.
