Engagement Specialist 

Reporting to the Director of Marketing the Engagement Specialist has an exciting role as they are in charge of creating strategies designed to build guest connections and relationships that will translate into both short and long-term sales for all 20 restaurant locations.

Job Overview:

We are proud to deliver a culinary experience that connects with guests. As we grow we need to ensure that this connection is at the forefront of everything we do To achieve this we need an Engagement Specialist whose focus will be to ensure meaningful engagement with our guests, communities and partners by looking for in-person, sponsorship, event and digital opportunities. This individual will need to be enthusiastic, outgoing, creative, hardworking, and excited to be part of fast fast-growing North American brand. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with a wide range of marketing functions that include but is not limited to experiential/event marketing, event creation and management, organic digital content creation, relationship building, communicating through multiple digital platforms and effective reporting. Working in a small team this individual must be comfortable with taking on new tasks, and added job responsibilities, as needed, to ensure the success of the company brand.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Community Outreach

  • Working with our local stores to create a local community marketing strategy
  • Connecting with reputable brands, businesses and organizations to build mutually beneficial relationships
  • Coordinating planned visits to our stores for influential persons within the community
  • Creating and organizing community engagements prior to store openings
  • Driving brand awareness prior to new store openings through community activations
  • Understanding KPIs of community outreach initiatives; tracking and reporting on them


Event Management

  • Understanding the events in each community the company is situated, and creating a plan around how we can be active in them
  • Creating unique events that drive brand awareness and guest store visits
  • Coordinating and organizing teams to execute event opportunities
  • Managing back and forth with store GMs, Staff and Partners to ensure the successful and positive execution of events
  • Understanding KPIs of event initiatives; tracking and reporting on them Digital Communication
  • Being the first point of contact throughout the companies digital platforms
  • Maintaining an intimate knowledge of the brand and store operations so that online questions can be easily and quickly answered
  • Ability to find answers quickly to ensure seamless communication with guests through digital platforms


Digital Engagement

  • Proactively look for ways to engage online through digital platforms to keep the brand relevant and at the forefront of digital trends
  • Reactively creating content quickly to capitalize on, on-brand trends and pop-culture events


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree or Diploma in Marketing or Communications or equivalent experience
  • 2 years experience in a similar role
  • Working knowledge of relevant current digital platforms to ensure ease of communication with guests
  • Demonstrated eagerness to learn new skills, and technologies and apply them in day-to-day work
  • Outgoing and enthusiastic about connecting with people and driving brand growth
  • Knowledge of traditional, digital and social media marketing
  • Proficient in the use of social media platforms including but not limited to TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat & Facebook
  • Trend enthusiast looking forward at new opportunities, platforms and trends
  • Comfortable with reaching out to new people, organizations and businesses to create connections
  • Excellent writing & communication skills
  • Aptitude for photography & videography
  • Highly organized
  • Ability to travel
  • Ability to work periodically on the weekends
  • Comfortable with a semi-flexible schedule
