About The Role

Are you an experienced SeniorLeader with a track record in delivering world class science and consulting to clients? Have you got a track record in nurturing engaged teams to deliver work of a high standard. Do you have considerable expertise in water management, with an understanding of a broad range of themes from fisheries, fisheries engineering, geomorphology, water resource management and EIA? As the Divisional Director for Water Management you will be responsible and accountable for the efficient and effective operational delivery of a variety of services within your division. You will lead operational performance, ensuring that your teams are client focusedand maintain APEM's excellent reputation in freshwater science. You will ensure that your division delivers ambitious annual plans through the development of your people and ensuring the correct resourcing to deliver client projects, underpinned by operational KPIs. Through your expertise you will work closely with the Sector Director and wider seniorteam to set, shape and deliver a long term strategy to support growth.

To be considered for this career defining role you will require:
  • Superb management and leadership skills - with a track record in engaging teams and developing skills whilst delivering a high standard of work to clients.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven ability to deliver high quality consultancy services, within the water sector within budget and to a high scientific/ quality standard.
  • Knowledge & experience of project delivery cycle including commercial aspects of project tendering and delivery.
  • Experience and a strong understanding of the dynamics of the markets in which your specialist service operates.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills working closely with Finance and People Business Partners, recruitment, tenders, business development and the executive leadership team
