Job Title: Operational Buyer

Location: Hybrid - Warwick (3 days per week)

Consultants on Demand sits within Randstad Sourceright: the global talent strategic partner specialising in talent management solutions including Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO), Managed Service Programs (MSP), Integrated Talent Solutions including this brand-new consultancy offering.

Role:

  • To manage a work-queue and secure that POs are issued in due time.
  • Ensure a close cooperation with Internal Customers (MRPCs, requisitioners) to ensure customer care and early involvement.
  • Manage a portfolio of suppliers, negotiate price increase requests, prepare RFQ packs, run bidding processes, and conduct negotiations for medium Purchasing Volumes.
  • Contribute to implementation and ensure usage of globally defined methods, processes and systems to ensure high process efficiency and process compliance (e.g. compliant Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, Procurement guidelines, IT systems).
  • Support Supplier Management processes (e.g. qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification).
  • Update supplier evaluation systems to obtain and develop the best suppliers and ensure transparency and high procurement quality.
  • Maintain records of all documentation, adherence of online purchasing and contract management systems.
  • Perform special projects as needed in addition to the assigned purchasing responsibilities.

Experience & Skills:

  • Strong SAP experience.
  • Outstanding Excel skills.
  • 2+ years of experience in Procurement.
  • Team player with the ability to also work independently to meet fixed deadlines, goals and objectives.
  • Ability to work in a complex, fast changing global organisational environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
