The position of Supply ChainCoordinator will work closely with the Head of Sourcing andSustainability, Category, Product, Marketing and Warehousing teams toensure all stocked products are purchased in a timely fashion todeliver the required stock availability for the customer. 

Thiswill act to support our mission “To provide customers withindustry-leading product choice, service and price in partnership withmanufacturers through a low-cost model” ensuring customers can clearlyget products of the correct price and availability for their build. 

The supply chain is a critical area for stocked goods at CMO,coordinators keep track of forecasting, purchasing and update thecompany’s inventory. They analyse operational performance and resolveissues. They also collaborate with internal stake holders andsuppliers to ensure all operations meet our inventory needs. Eg,warehouse space, financial spend, purchase timings, stockavailability.

The Role: 

The Supply Chain Coordinatorrole has 4 Key areas of focus: 

  • Inventory levels andanalysis 
  • Forecasting for PO timings 
  • Suppliermanagement for purchasing/shipping needs 
  • Purchasing ofstock – spend, quantity, timing 

Inventory & Strategy 

  • Support on the creation/maintenance of the company’songoing supply chain strategy at the product level. 
  • Maintains required quantity of supplies and materials to optimisesales. 
  • Collaborate with other departments to createcoordinated plans for business growth. 
  • Monitor OOS statuson products and strive to have stock in asap. 
  • Be a sourceof information to your team on what is going on in your area of supplychain, be a clear conduit of information. 
  • Share reports andcreate and manage though actions as needed or requested. 

Forecasting & Data 

  • First and foremost ensure theforecast for your products are always up-to-date and regularlyassessed. 
  • Be involved in the relevant team meetings to seewhat performance is predicted against actions taken and adjust theforecast as necessary. 
  • Liaise with the team onknown forecasting issues. 
  • Challenge the Supply Chainmanager with forecasts for new products or promotions. 
  • Ensure all data you are responsible for is kept accurate andup-to-date, carry out sporadic reviews of the data belonging to youand ensure amendments are made as necessary. 
  • Be prime point ofcontact with your suppliers for all purchase orders, invoices, returnsand credit notes. 
  • Liaise with Supply Chain Manager orCategory team on any supplier issues or changes. 
  • Analysedata from shipping and delivering processes to find bottlenecks andother issues.
  • Monitor logistics to make sure they runsmoothly.
  • Resolve issues that come up (e.g., delays indelivery, accidents) 
  • Monitors the performance of suppliers,assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements;identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with otherdepartments. 

Purchasing 

  • To raise allrelevant purchase orders for inventory, ensure all details are correctand placed in a professional manner.
  • Seek purchase orderconfirmation and update the records as necessary. 
  • Ensureall purchase orders transfer to sage correctly from admin(Pre-migration Xero) 
  • Ensure all purchase orders anddeliveries are placed on the relevant booking diaries and that thewarehouse is fully informed of stock deliveries and details needed toprocess them 
  • Ensure goods received are correct against POand if different any PO changes are needed action them – the systemmust always reflect what we expect to occur on any delivery withcorrect due dates. 
  • Have financial transparency, and shareinformation with the Finance team as needed 
  • Ensure supplychain processes meet legal requirements and standards
  • Tosupport on warehouse compiled kit management within Sage Sicon (Postmigration) 


The team 

  • Support thewider supply chain team members and ensure you have the requiredtraining, and that it is completed on time. 
  • Contribute toour employees, leadership team and Directors as a key advocate for ourinventory to ensure that our customers need from inventory are at theheart of our decisions and focus. 
  • If necessary, attendmeetings and trade conferences to represent the company and increaseour profile within the industry 
  • To actively demonstrate andembody the cultural values to all staff.
  • Fromtime-to-time, undertake activities as necessary that are outside ofkey roles and responsibilities as required by the needs of thebusiness. 


Key Performance Indicators 

  • OOS report in BI 
  • Lead-time accuracy on the front end of the website 
  • POdue dates are all current 
  • Month end data
