About the role: As a SEN Teaching Assistant with expertise in managing challenging behaviours, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs within Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. You will work closely with teachers and other staff members to create a safe and inclusive learning environment where every student can reach their full potential. Application Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students with special educational needs, particularly those with challenging behaviours, is essential.
- A proactive and compassionate approach to supporting students with diverse learning needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents/guardians, and external agencies.
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support are highly desirable.
- Provide one-on-one support to students with challenging behaviours, including violent behaviours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies tailored to each student's needs.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents/guardians as necessary.
