About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Desktop Support Analyst to join our dynamic IT team. Based in Aston, you will be an integral part of our IT support operations, ensuring smooth and efficient technology solutions across our manufacturing and warehouse facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive desktop support to end-users, including hardware, software, and peripheral troubleshooting.
  • Manage and resolve incidents and service requests within agreed SLAs.
  • Maintain and support IT infrastructure, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Assist with the deployment of new hardware and software, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to identify and implement improvements to current processes and systems.
  • Provide support for IT-related projects, ensuring successful delivery and user adoption.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of support activities, incidents, and resolutions.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a desktop support role, ideally within a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common desktop applications.
  • Familiarity with network fundamentals, including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, and VPN.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
  • Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are desirable but not essential.
  • A proactive and customer-focused approach to support.
